IIn 2007 the concept was born and discussed on a bus trip in light of an event that was attended and how children's activities could be improved!

Ben Babbington the visionary behind the scheme had at the time and is still running a martial arts group called ZKS Martial Arts made up of mainly children and found a business method unlike any other in the martial arts industry.

The problem that was faced in front of the idea for it to work was technology! It needed a vast amount of it to make it run smoothly and of course he didn't know where to begin. After speaking on the bus with one of the parents after a long, lengthy and tiring event it was concluded that the idea could be a reality!

Fortunately for us the parent involved in the discussions was Simon Marshall owner of a technology company, SmR2. SmR2 an IT development company started in 2003 create bespoke solutions and IT services for a number of key clients these include Volvo, NHS and Jack Wills just to name a few. Simon came onboard to supply the technology solutions and gave some extra concepts not only from a developer’s point of view, but as a parent as well. ZKS and SmR2 joined forces and created ZKS MARS the successful solution it is today.

After 3 years of development and lots of headaches we finally have a scheme unlike any other! Of course we fell very passionately that this is going to be a next big social networking system, that will offer great technology and of course behind the scenes business management.
